We are delighted that our EM steam era exhibition layout, Chitterne, has been featured in the January issue of British Railway Modelling. We are grateful to the staff at BRM for choosing to include Chitterne and making the drafting and proofing process so painless. We also want to express our thanks to Jamie Warne for his truly excellent photos. Jamie also made a video of the layout which we understand BRM may elect to distribute with a future edition.
We feel that the article gives a very good impression of Chitterne and we look forward to showing it at future exhibitions.
The process of producing a magazine article is a lengthy one. It is almost exactly a year since Jamie approached us at the Portsmouth show in 2022 to ask about possibly doing pieces on Chitterne and Navigation Road. The results have been worth the long wait and the generous BRM publication fees have been well received by our treasurer!
