A few weeks ago, Chris H had the brilliant idea of holding “Running Evenings” on some group nights where we would all bring our stock of a particular “category” and see what trains we could run on our test track.
This evening was the first of these events with the theme of “None Passenger Coaching Stock” and it was a great success. A wide variety of substantial appropriate stock appeared together with suitable engines and a few carriages to make up complete trains. A few examples can be seen in the photos below. Unfortunately, those members who model in 2mm were unable to attend, but we look forward to seeing some of their efforts at a future evening of this sort.

With the great success of this evening, we are planning another in a couple of months’ time with the theme of “Livestock”.
